Centralised Inventory Management for a Fashion Retail Giant
An established fashion retail group, trading for eight decades with more than 250 stores spanning the UK and Europe, managing manufacturing, design, and distribution in-house.

Technologies Used
The Challenge
With stock spread across stores and warehouses, the client had no single view of inventory — making it hard to answer basic operational questions: how much stock exists, where it sits, what it's worth, how much is sellable, and how much has been lost. Data also needed to sync with third-party services and feed cleanly into analytical systems.
The Solution
We built a serverless Inventory Management System on AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, S3) that gives a single, unified view of stock across every location. The system syncs users, products, and price lists with third-party platforms in real time, while backend services keep inventory current by folding in sales, shipment updates, and POS adjustments automatically. New search and reporting interfaces, backed by Snowflake, turned raw stock data into something teams could actually query and act on.
The Results
- Full stock visibility — accurate, real-time tracking of levels and locations across every store and warehouse.
- Clear stock valuation — value calculated by weighted average and invoice cost, location by location.
- Loss tracking built in — available stock and stock losses are now visible, not estimated.
- Deeper analytics — enhanced Snowflake reporting gives stakeholders detailed, self-serve inventory insight.
