Challenge

Our client faced rapidly increasing demands from its regional offices in Northern Europe, South America, and Southeast Asia for advanced reporting and dashboarding solutions.

The main reporting topics these demands focused on were: Desk Reservations, Marketing Events, Sales Dashboards, and the Time & Attendance (T&A) Marketing Dashboard.

Some offices had already established global reporting and dashboarding standards and needed onboarding into these global processes, while others had specific needs that required support using standardised organisational tools.

Our two main challenges were to:

  • Develop tailored solutions for offices with specific needs, utilising standardised organisational tools.

To meet these challenges, our team needed to:

  • Accurately assess these demands, which had increased by 30% over the past year;
  • Identify the right delivery approach to ensure a seamless integration and support, involving key stakeholders from each regional office;
  • Guide the offices through the implementation phase.

Addressing these challenges successfully is critical to ensure alignment with the company’s strategic goal of operational excellence and data-driven decision-making across all regions.

Solution

Our approach began with a comprehensive evaluation of the reporting and dashboarding requirements from various regional offices in Northern Europe, South America, and Southeast Asia. We identified key focus areas and customised our support to align with both global standards and regional needs.

Leveraging SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), we developed real-time dashboards that integrated diverse data sources and highlighted region-specific metrics and KPIs. These dashboards provided actionable insights, enhancing decision-making capabilities. To further streamline data integration and improve reporting accuracy, we implemented automated data pipelines using Snowflake, Python, and Databricks, along with AWS S3 buckets and Azure Data Factory (ADF).

In South America, we set a benchmark by automating a key dashboard, showcasing significant efficiency improvements and setting a precedent for future projects.

We are still actively managing projects in Northern Europe, South America, and Southeast Asia, focusing on various critical areas. Continuous data analysis ensures these projects remain aligned with global processes. By employing a robust tech stack, including SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Snowflake, Python, and Databricks, we achieve precise data integration and accurate reporting.

Throughout the implementation phase, we identified the optimal delivery approach, provided guidance to regional offices, and maintained active communication with key stakeholders. This ensured that unique requirements were addressed, facilitating smooth integration and comprehensive support.
